The scientific-theoretical seminar of Lola Jumaniyazova, intern teacher of the Department of Fruit and Vegetables, Urganch State University, on the topic of the importance of medicinal root vegetables in the national economy

Jumaniyazova. L gave a lecture on the topic "Medicinal importance of root vegetables in the national economy." They spoke about root vegetables. Sershira is planted for its root, i.e. its rhizome. Many I. are food and fodder crops. One-year I. includes radish, two-year I. includes carrots, beets, turnips, rutabagas, parsley, celery, radishes. The two-year-old I. produces a tuber and a rhizome in the year it is sown, and in the second year it gives seeds. The fruit of I. is distinguished by being extremely large, for example, the weight of the Japanese radish reaches 16-30 kg, the length of the lower leaves reaches 1 m. Roots contain sugar (sugar beet, rutabaga), inulin, starch (resin), vitamins (carrot, turnip, radish). I. Well-cultivated, fertile, well-drained land produces abundant crops. After the presentation, they discussed the topic. Vegetables play an important role in a healthy diet and bring a lot of benefits to our body. Vegetables are generally rich in vitamins, trace elements and antioxidants. Vegetables contain the entire spectrum of water-soluble vitamins and fat-soluble vitamin A, a precursor to beta-carotene. Most beta-carotene is found in bright orange vegetables, such as carrots and squash. At the same time (especially sauerkraut), vitamin C, which is abundant in bell peppers of all colors, is also important for our health. A large amount of vitamin B9 (folic acid) is found in cauliflower and legumes. The expert says that the human body perfectly absorbs vitamins from natural sources, and if there are no genetic disorders in the absorption of vitamins and their transition to an active form, a sufficient amount of various vegetables in the diet can fully cover our body. The daily need for water-soluble vitamins. Any misunderstandings that arise are asked by the teacher, and students answer questions with each other and are evaluated. In this way, the professors and teachers of the department addressed the speaker and the student with the questions they were interested in, and the seminar was full of questions and in an upbeat spirit.
