Urgench state university hosted a republican scientific-practical conference on "Intercultural dialogue: current issues of linguistics, literature, folklore and translation studies"
In order to ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No PP-5117 "On measures to bring the promotion of foreign languages in the Republic of Uzbekistan to a qualitatively new level" The Republican Agency for the Promotion of Studies, Urgench State University, and Khorezm Mamun Academy held a republican scientific-practical conference on "Intercultural dialogue: current issues of linguistics, literature, folklore, and translation" on June 9 this year.
The two-day conference was organized by the Faculty of Foreign Philology, and the first day of the conference was held at the Palace of Culture of UrSU. It was attended by professors and teachers of the university, representatives of the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Languages , and professors of prestigious foreign universities, including Dr. R. Gargesh, MA Kaboodvand, J. Stanford, S. Khodjayeva, N. Isamuhamedova. The conference was moderated by the head of the Department of English Language and Literature of the Faculty of Foreign Philology, Prof. J. Ermetova.
Rector of UrSU Bahrom Abdullayev opened the conference and wished success to the conference.
After that, representatives of the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Languages S.Obidov and A.Husanov, Professor of the University of World Languages of Uzbekistan MTIriskulov, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology of UrSU Z.Jumaniyazov, as well as through the Zoom platform Professors and teachers of foreign universities will speak on improving the effectiveness of foreign languages in the higher education system, the development of students' thinking in a foreign language, the ability to speak fluently, the formation of intellectual activity, quality education in foreign languages They spoke on topical issues such as the ability to give, to develop the ability to participate in oral communication in a foreign language.
The conference will continue tomorrow, June 10, at the Khorezm Mamun Academy.
