Cooperation in Education and Upbringing: Parent Meeting at the Faculty of Foreign Philology

Today, at the Faculty of Foreign Philology of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, a meeting was organized between the university administration and parents in order to further improve the educational and upbringing process of students and strengthen regular cooperation with parents.

During the meeting, an open dialogue was established between the dean of the faculty Z.Jumaniyozov, professors, tutors, and parents. They exchanged views on students’ academic performance, discipline, scientific activity, and future plans.

As noted during the meeting, students’ regular attendance, sense of responsibility, and ability to manage their time properly largely depend on the attention and supervision of their parents. Mutual communication helps prevent young people from wasting their free time and motivates them to strive toward their goals.

At the same time, it was emphasized that excessive control is undesirable; it is important for young people to think independently and make their own decisions. Maintaining balance in all matters is one of the fundamental principles of upbringing.

Today, in the context of globalization, various false ideas and superficial views may negatively affect the minds of young people. Protecting them from such risks and raising them to be intellectually mature and morally sound is the shared responsibility of parents, teachers, and society.

After the meeting, parents acquainted themselves with the conditions created at the university for students.
