The history of the technical faculty

 

Khorezm is a homeland of great scientists who have made a great contribution to world science. Urgench State University is directly delivering this legacy of our ancestors and world science to a harmoniously developed generation. In this regard, the contribution of the technical faculty. In 1992, the Technical Faculty was formed at the Urgench State University as an Engineering and Technology Faculty.

At that time, the faculty includes the following departments: "General Physics and Radio Electronics", "Mechanical Engineering", where general engineering and specialization subjects are taught. Social humanities are taught by the faculty of the inter-faculty departments of the university. The department "Mechanical Engineering" is the graduating department, and the department has trained personnel in three directions:

- machine tools in the food industry;

- cooling machines and installations;

- Automobile and automobile economy.

In 1996, the Department of Architecture and Construction joined the faculty, and in this regard, the faculty began to train specialists in the following areas of education:

- operation and repair of vehicles;

- Technological machines and equipment;

- architecture;

- Construction of buildings and structures.

In connection with the establishment and operation of professional colleges in the country, since 2005, the training of 5140900 - Professional Education (Building and Construction) has been carried out to provide colleges with qualified specialists. In 2011, as a result of the generalization of the university faculties, the new departments and educational directions were introduced into the faculty. In September 2011, the Faculty of Chemistry and Technology was formed. Faculty includes engineering and engineering technology education. In September 2015, the faculty was renamed as "Technique". At this time, the faculty has the following departments: "Construction and architecture", "Chemical technology", "Transport systems", and prepares bachelors and masters in the following educational directions:

- 5341000 - Architectural and Design Organization of Rural Areas;

Department of Transport Systems

- 5310500 - Automobile and tractor building;

- 5310600 - Surface transport systems and their operation (tractors, agricultural machines and equipment);

In March 2017, the faculty includes the following departments: "Construction and architecture", "Transport systems" and "Department of General technical disciplines" The faculty prepares bachelors in 7 directions:

- 5310500-Automobile and tractor building;

- 5310600-Land transport systems and their operation;

–5340100-Architecture;

–5341000 - Architectural and Design Organization of Rural Areas;

- 5340300-Urban Construction and Management;

–5340500-Production of building materials, products and structures.

–5340200-Construction of buildings and structures.

At the faculty, about 100 professors and teachers teach students using modern information technology and new pedagogical technologies. There are 3 doctors, 17 candidates of sciences, 6 senior teachers and more than 70 teachers at the faculty. The Technical Faculty is one of the main faculties of the university preparing architects and engineers. Students of the faculty A. Matkuliev Presidential scholarship, Ruziev Gamzat, Jumaniyazov Mansur, Nurmetov Umid, T. Musaev, O. Matkarimov, Samandarov Abbas State scholarship named after Beruniy Z.Masharipova, S.Ruzmetov, Z.Jumanyazov They were the state scholarships "Ulugbek". Students of the faculty successfully participate in the Republican Science Olympiads and win prizes. Professors and teachers of the faculty regularly publish scientific articles in foreign scientific journals and national magazines.

The chairs of the faculty are constantly working on the implementation of foreign and national scientific grants.
