Game-based language learning refers to the borrowing of certain gaming principles and applying them to real-life settings to engage users.

The webinar was organized to share and discuss the ways the products and practices of game-based language learning (GBLL) shape access to foreign language learning. During the workshop facilitator and participants held a discussion about various aspects of GBLL. In addition to this, each partaker suggested their own methods of using GBLL as facilitator explained benefits as well as drawbacks of each approach.

The ability of GBLL to develop positive attitudes towards language learning has been examined from a variety of perspectives, with the consensus emerging that flow creates intrinsic motivation and encourages further interaction with the medium itself.
