Professor, Dierk Andresen from Germany, conducted lessons at Urgench State University with students from Tourism and Economics faculty. Dierk Andresen has huge experience on Tourism field and Restaurant Management as well. During his stay in Urgench, his main focus was on the restaurants of Urgench city, their menus and services. As he stated when tourists visit Urgench, they should be provided with brochures which give clear understanding of what a restaurant can offer clients in the English language. So far, students have worked on 16 most popular restaurants in Urgench. The result of their project has been very fruitful. They have translated some restaurant menus from Uzbek into English and designed fabulous brochures. These brochures are planned to be distributed to local tour agencies, restaurants, airports and tourist information offices.

Moreover, our students are actively working on the creation of “City guide” of the Urgench city. This city guide can be a wonderful tool for tourists to use in order to find most-visited destinations and get reliable information during their trip. It mostly consists of historical sites and famous places.
