SolidWorks - automation of an industrial enterprise at the stages of production design and technological preparation.

An important factor and direction of the development of education is the formation of students ' skills in using modern and promising information technology tools. The rapid development of computer technology and its implementation in almost all spheres of life has led to the fact that today a competent specialist in any field of knowledge must be well-versed in the world of computers and possess the necessary software tools. Professional modern engineering activity is inevitably associated with the use of automatic design systems, automatic production and automatic engineering analysis.  Systems such as AutoCAD, DUCT, Pro / Engineer, Unigraphics, and SolidsWorks are widely used for computer modeling of complex products, followed by the production of drawings and the generation of control programs for CNC machines. SolidWorks is a software package designed to automate the work of an industrial enterprise at the stages of design and technological preparation of production. Provides the development of products of any degree of complexity and purpose. SolidWorks uses the principle of three-dimensional solid-state and surface parametric design, which allows the designer to create three-dimensional parts and assemble assemblies in the form of three-dimensional models, which are used to create two-dimensional drawings and specifications in accordance with the requirements of the ESCD. Solid Works includes a number of application modules, of which the most interesting for us is Solid Works Simulation. This module, based on the finite element method, allows you to calculate the strength of structures in the elastic zone, solve problems of mechanics of a deformed solid. This module allows you to perform static analysis of parts and assemblies, optimize the design, and thus avoid unnecessary costs for extra material. Based on the results, you can make the design more durable, light, elegant, and therefore cost-effective and more practical. The use of the Solid Works software tool in the educational process can become the most important didactic condition for the formation and development of professional competence of students of technical training areas.

The purpose of performing computational and graphic works on the course "Resistance of materials":

- the formation of the student's basic competencies in the subject area "Resistance of materials", namely:

- knowledge of the culture of thinking, the ability to generalize, analyze, perceive information in the field of mechanics, setting goals and choosing ways to achieve it;

- the ability to logically correctly, argumentatively and clearly build a technical oral and written speech;

- the desire for self-development, improvement of their qualifications and skills in the field of mechanics, possession of independent work skills; readiness to process the results of experimental studies;

- ability to collect and analyze source data for calculation and design;

- the ability to use information technology in the design of machines and the organization of their work;

- deepening and consolidating the knowledge gained in the lecture classes;

- formation of skills for conducting mathematical modeling and computational experiments using software packages;

- formation of skills to interpret the results of computer modeling and make decisions to optimize the parameters and characteristics of VAT;

- consolidation of computer skills.
