History of the Department of Data Transmission Networks and Systems

The Department of Data Transmission Networks and Systems was established in September 2025 as part of the Faculty of Telecommunication Technologies at Urgench State University.
The position of the Head of Department was assigned to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professor Utkir Karimovich Matyokubov.

The department began its activity with 15 qualified academic staff members, including 3 with academic degrees and titles.
Among them, three lecturers — Yuldashov Davronbek Rustamovich, Atajonov Furqat Ikromboy ogli, and Matqurbanov Tolqin Alimboyevich — completed their master’s and postgraduate studies at Novosibirsk State Technical University, which is ranked among the world’s TOP-500 universities.
Another lecturer, Palvanov Shukhrat Gayrat ogli, graduated from Klagenfurt University (Austria), also included in the TOP-500 ranking.

One faculty member has been awarded the badge of honor “Excellence in Higher Education,” and two have received letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
Five lecturers hold IELTS certificates and conduct classes in foreign languages.
