The history of History department

Beginning from 1935 social subjects started to be taught in Xorezm State Pedagogics Institute.From 1944 social sciences became separate department at the institute. This department included philosophy, political economics, subject of history of parties.
In 1954 senior teacher R. Jumaniyozov and candidate of phylosophycal sciences Ya. Rajapov who graduated from Samarkand State University history department, joined. Dotsent Ya. Rajapov became the head of the department. He has worked in this position for 30 years. Among 10 people from the department only he has scientific degree. The department should be strengthened by experienced teachers. Scientists from Tashkent were invited for full or part-time job. There were professors B. Ismoilov, J.M.Boboev,M.Baratov,I.Jabborov. 
During 1960-1970 the department was strengthened by youngsters who read their candidate thesis successfully in Tashkent,Moskva,Leningrad,Kiev. Candidates of sciences, dotsents N.Qalandarov, M.Matniyozov,A.Sotliqov,K.Abdullaev,A.Xayitboev,X.Sapaev,F.Madraximov,A.Sobirov were active in teaching youth social sciences. In 1967 acoording to the fact that Xorezm State Pedagogics Institute was extended social sciences department were separated into 3 departments. 
In 1991 there was organized the faculty of preparing social humanitarian specialists in the URSU. First of all, the department was called ``Social-humanitarian subjects`` later ``Phylology and history``, then in 2003 ``History and law``. Since 2006 it has been called ``The faculty of History``. Before there were 2 departments ``General history`` and ``History of Uzbekistan``. In 1991-1998 candidate of science S. Navruzov was the head of department of ``General History``. In 1994 the department ``General history`` was recalled as ``World history``. 1998-2000 professor M. Matniyozov, 2003-2005 candidate of historical sciences M. Jumaniyozova, 2006-2009 candidate of historical sciences Q.Masharipov, 2009-2013 dotsent O`.Abdullaev were the leaders of the department. Nowadays candidate of historical sciences T.Abdullaev leads the department. 
In 2005 on 30 August ``World history`` and ``History of Uzbekistan`` were united under the name ``Tarix``. 
Teachers and professors of department actively propagate works of Presidents, activities of Oliy Majlis, home and foreign policy, materials regarding international situations among population and students. Each year the academic charge is distributed to professors and teachers of the department have classes with the help of modern pedagogical technologies in order make them effective. Also Master degree from 2000 till 2009 functioned. In 2011 in August the admission two Master degree was announced and till our days there have been more than 70 undergraduates. 1993- 2012 postgraduate studies on ,, History of Uzbekistan ’’ functioned. During 2012 – 2015 their were doctoral candidates: U. Abdalov, H. Matyoqubov, B. Jumaniyozov, Sh.Yusupov. 
From 2016 U.Abdullaev doctor of history sciences has been working as chairman of History department. There 41 professors and teachers in the department. Three of them is professor and 17- candidates of sciences. Scientific capacity is 41 percent and all professors graduated from history speciality. 
In the following years Jumaniyozova Mamlakat - 07.00.07 in the speciality of " Ethnology " wrote a candidate dissertation on theme " Ethnic structure of the population of Khorezm region and its material features in the end of the XIX and beginning of the XX century. (defended in 1998 ) 
Davletov Sanjar 07.00.01 in the speciality of " The History of Uzbekistan " wrote a candidate dissertation on theme " Ecologycal condition of Uzbekistan and its social issues in the second half of the XX century. ( defended in 2003 ) 
Masharipov Qudrat - 07.00.06 in the speciality of "Archeology " wrote a candidate dissertation on theme " The connection of Khorezm with the countries of Middle East and Europe ( X - XV ).( defended in 2004 ) 
Abdullayev Utkir - 07.00.09 in the speciality of " Historical studies and methods of historical investigation " wrote a candidate dissertation on theme " Administrative system of Middle Asia and the history of former countries ". ( defended in 2008 ) 
Matyoqubova Muborak -07.00.02 in the speciality of «The history of Uzbekistan» wrote candidate dissertation on theme « The history of library and books in Kiva khanate in the second half of 19 and in the beginning of 20 centuries. ((defended in 2008) 
Raxmonova Yulduz – 07. 00.02 in the speciality of « The history of Uzbekistan» wrote candidate dissertation on theme «Social , political life :traditions and changes, of Kiva in 16 and in the beginning of 20 centuries. (defended in 2009). 
Makarova Sadoqat-07.00.09 in the speciality of «Historical studies and methods of historical research» wrote candidate dissertation on theme «Historical studies of the period of Qongirot dynasty in Khiva khanate» (defended in 2010). 
Abdullayev Timur-07.00.01 in the speciality of «The history of Uzbekistan» wrote candidate dissertation on theme «Workmanship of Khorezm in 12-15 centuries (defended in 2010). 
Shihov Otabek-07.00.01-in speciality of "The history of Uzbekistan." Candidate dissertation on theme "The social-economical position in the territory of Quyi Amudaryo river in the independence condition"(was defended in 2011) 
Nurullayeva Shoira-07.00.07-candidate dissertation on theme "Traditional clothes of Khorezm's uzbek (the end of 19 century-the first half of 20 century), was spezialized in "Ethnography,ethnology and anthropology." 
The scientific direction of History chair:"Khorezm in the world art and culture." The chair professor-teachers are researching on this theme. As the result of scientific researches in 2002-2012 in Khorezm history were successfully defended 9 candidates dissertations by chair. 
Scientific grants by chair professor-teachers:"To realize history and yourself" was an international project which was collaborated with Germany.
