Department of Biology
The Department of Biology was originally established in Khorezm State Pedagogical Institute in 1949 as the Department of Geography and Biology. During the years 1967-1991, S. Iskandarov, S. Khojaniyozova, G. Hojiqurbonova, B. Hakberdiyev, A. Matyokubov, R. Egamberdiyev, R. Sobirov, B. Sodikov, R. Khamzin, M. Eshchonov, P. Otayevlar such experienced and scientific potential teachers worked.
Until 1992, the department of botany and soil science was headed by R. Egamberdiyev and R. Sobirov. During these years, professors and teachers of the department conducted scientific research in the direction of "Biological characteristics of desert plants of the Khorezm oasis".
In 1992-1997, the Department of General Biology was reorganized based on the needs of the faculty departments, and it was headed by G. M. Satipov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.
At present, assistant to the "Biology" department. Tajiyev Zakirjon Rajabovich is leading. Today, a total of 1 doctor of science, 11 candidates of science and more than 22 teachers are working in the department. More than 30 professors and teachers are working in the department.
