Indeed, today our scientists need to identify existing problems in all areas of the country and solve them by introducing modern science and technology, integrating science and production, integrating science into the training system. To bring up a harmoniously developed generation, providing a strong connection between science and educational practice. At the same time, additional points of the state modernization program and the national training program put forward new requirements for the republic's scientists.

The material and technical base of the department has been strengthened and replenished with scientific and pedagogical personnel. Today, our team must equip our faculty with modern equipment, organize laboratories, equip them with technical means, equipment, conduct research in relevant fields of science, expand our educational and scientific research with world science. Scientists of the Faculty of Biology conduct research in more than three priority areas of the state's economic policy.

         According to the results of scientific research, 144 scientific articles were published in the reporting year, of which 46 were published in scientific journals of the republic, 44 - at republican scientific conferences, 8 - in foreign scientific journals, 10 scientific articles - in Scopus, 31 and 3.Textbooks were published in international scientific conferences.

Latipova Rozazhon and Jumaniyozova Yulduz Abdusharipovna from our department received certificates from the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation for training specialists abroad and communicating with compatriots. They are the winners of the advanced training program in the scholarship competition in accordance with the decision of the Board of Trustees dated April 22, 2021.

International cooperation of the Department of Biology is aimed at improving the education system, in particular, at raising it to the level of world standards, training qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel, establishing mutually beneficial relations with foreign educational institutions and research centers, professors, senior teachers in order to improve language and professional skills researchers, independent researchers and students; and the exchange of experiences in various fields of education. Gozard Drevensek, professor at the University of Ljubljana, began teaching biochemistry and genetics in English to students in March this year.

The creation of joint centers and laboratories is also in the focus of attention. As a result, the number of such laboratories by the teachers of our faculty is growing every year. The department has developed a target program until 2021 to rejuvenate the ranks of doctors of science, increase the efficiency of senior research workers and independent researchers, as well as increase the scientific potential of scientific and pedagogical personnel.

In 2021-2022, the department is looking for talented students to organize additional training, direct them to scientific work and provide them with qualified training, as well as their participation in competitions for the President's scholarship and State scholarship, the Republican Olympiad in Science. In order to further improve the work with talented students of the department, a system of pedagogical schools has been created.

In particular, the 2nd year student of the Faculty of Biology Isaeva Zakhro Bakhrom kyzy conducts research on the topic "Qualitative characteristics of wheat", currently has 4 dissertations and 3 scientific articles in national and international scientific journals. Awarded with 5 certificates and 4 certificates of honor for active participation in educational and organizational work. On December 21-24, 2020, he took an active part in an online marketing and finance course organized by Indian professor Alka Dhingra and UrDU for gifted students.

He took part in the republican online Olympiad in science among students of higher educational institutions in the direction of "Biochemistry of animals", took 2nd place at the first stage and moved on to the second stage. On June 4, 2021, she participated in the Republican stage of the Olympics, scored 60 points and was awarded a special certificate.

Support for talented youth of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ulugbek Foundation was carried out in 2021 among talented students, doctoral students and researchers in order to attract a wide range of scientists and support their initiatives. “He was awarded a diploma for his participation. in the essay competition "Talented youth of the new Uzbekistan".

Ruzimov Akbar Davronbek oglu, a 4th year student of the Faculty of Biology, conducts research on the topic "Bioecology of the family of carp catchments of the Khorezm region." He took part in the republican online Olympiad in science among students of higher educational institutions in the direction of "Human and Animal Physiology", took 1st place in the first stage and moved on to the second stage. On June 4, 2021, she participated in the Republican stage of the Olympics, scored 80 points and was awarded a special certificate.

Research effectiveness

         In the reporting period, all research work carried out at the department is at a high level, and the relevance of research issues is recognized by specialists from other universities and research institutes of the republic and abroad. On April 15, 2021, professors, researchers and doctoral students of universities and research institutes of the republic took part in the online conference "Scientific and innovative solutions to problems of biology, ecology and agriculture". The data collected as a result of this study will serve to increase the economic potential of the republic, achievements in the field of education to improve the knowledge and skills of our youth.
