Deputy Minister in Khorezm: meeting with talented students

On November 23, 2020 at Urgench State University, Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education for Information Technology and Youth Yusuf Absoatov met with a group of talented students of regional higher education institutions. The meeting was opened by the rector of Urgench State University Bahrom Abdullayev. During the meeting, the Deputy Minister expressed his views on the opportunities created for the youth of our country today, the role of youth in the integration of science and education, and was interested in the goals, aspirations and proposals of young people. Yusuf Absoatov's new initiative was very popular with Khorezm students. "Today, the Karakul school of mathematics is in the first place," said the deputy minister. Ronaldo and Messi competed and became the best in the world. Similarly, if the Khorezm and Bukhara mathematics schools compete with each other, the two best schools in the world can be in our country. I personally think that Khorezm should have a university that prepares mathematicians and English for the 20 strongest universities in the world. The fact that everything is in the capital is our loss, a small tragedy. Such knowledge center should be in Khorezm, so that students can come from the capital, the valley, the oasis, the neighboring republics. Is there a potential for that? There is what we need. We will support them as much as possible."
It was agreed to implement a project to open an English language training center at Urgench State University. It was noted that this will help talented young people to be born and develop science as worthy successors of Al-Khwarizmi. The students who participated in the event in the form of a free dialogue participated with their suggestions and comments and received detailed answers to all their questions. It was agreed at the meeting in good spirits to continue such dialogue on a regular basis.
