Today, on September 13, 2021, the presentation of the book "Xorazm urfiy maqomlari" took place in the Culture Hall of Urgench State University.

This project was organized in order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set out in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 17, 2017, № PD-3391 "On measures to further develop the art of Uzbek national maqom" , and the tasks set out in the "Road Map" of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and "Uzavtosanoat" JSC for the further development and widespread promotion of the Uzbek national art of maqom.

In it, with the participation of researchers of Urgench State University and Khorezm Mamun Academy, Khorezm Makam ensemble and specialized music art school and well-known masters of Maqam, the ancient samples of maqam that became a tradition in Khorezm was restored, filled and a modern edition was created. In this book, musical notes of maqom and performance samples are presented to maqom lovers.

The presentation of the book was attended by the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov, CEO of the Uzbek National Center for Maqom Art, Candidate of Arts, Professor Soibjon Begmatov, Deputy Governor of Khorezm Region for Youth Policy, Social Development, and Spiritual-Educational Affairs Sanatbek Salayev, opened the event and congratulated the participants on the success of the Khorezm art world, in particular, in the field of maqom.

After that, the head of the department of "Music Education" of UrSU Botir Rakhimov, senior teacher of the department Rustam Boltaev, researcher of Khorezm Mamun Academy Raufjon Mahmudov, chairman of the regional fund "Nuroniy" Matkarim Jumaniyazov, journalist Shuhrat Matkarimov, Artistic director of Khorezm Exemplary maqom ensemble Gafurjon Eshchanov spoke about the creation of the book, its importance in the world of maqom, internal structure, unique role as a national and spiritual heritage for future generations.

Khorezm national classical songs performed at the presentation ceremony gave a special charm to the event.
