According to the invitation of the Institute of Foreign Languages of the partner Udmurtia State University, students and teachers of Urganch State University participated in the online introductory lecture on "Audiovisual translation" within the framework of the "International Multilingualism" week of the Ural State University.

It should be noted that Udmurtia State University is one of the few universities in Russia where students study the basics of "Audiovisual translation" in the field of Linguistics in undergraduate and graduate programs.

In this, students will get acquainted with illustrative examples of the difficulties faced by translators who perform off-screen translation, dubbing or subtitling of audiovisual texts (films, TV series). Effective methods of solving translation problems (in the case of Russian and English languages) are also presented.
