On October 12, 2021, the 6th Scientific Expedition of the University of Technology of Lublin to Central Asia visited the Urgench State University within the framework of the project “3D Digital silk road” of the program “Nawa”, consisting of representatives of the Lublin Technological University of Poland.

At the beginning of the visit, they got acquainted with the university, met with students and held a seminar on "Popularization of the tangible cultural heritage using 3D digital technology." The seminar was opened by the coordinator of the project in Khorezm region, head of the department "History" of the History Faculty of UrSU, Ph.D., docent. U.Abdullayev.

After that, the members of the expedition were Dr. Elizbieta Mitosz, Prof. Jerzy Montusiewicz, Prof. Marek Mitosz, Dr. Marcin Badurowicz, Jacek Kesik, Mariusz Dzienkowski, Dr. Marcin Badurowicz and Stanistaw Skulimowsky made presentations on the topic.

The main purpose of the project is to carry out scientific research in the field of digitization of Great Silk Road cultural monuments in Uzbekistan during scientific expeditions conducted by specialists of Lublin University of technology, popularization of material and cultural heritage with the help of 3D digital technology, creation of electronic catalog of historical monuments and dissemination of historical culture to all over the world.
