Book is a treasure that enriches the souls, a peak of perfection and a companion that leads to spiritual perfection.

As the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi wrote, "The book is a grateful teacher, the main source of knowledge and spiritual growth."

Today, on November 24, the staff of the Department of Scientific Methodology of the Information Resource Center of UrSU held a charity event "Book is a treasure that enriches the souls, a peak of perfection and a companion that leads to spiritual perfection."

The charity event was attended by pupils of the Khorezm regional branch of SOS Children's Villages of Uzbekistan, and a group of children led by educator Feruza Bobojonova were guests of the event.

IRC staff, university faculties and students spoke at the event about the role of books in personal development, the importance of being friends with books and not neglecting to read, which is an important factor in making people educated, professional and, of course, happy, the special role of books in the lives of youth, and said that a good book inspires love for the Motherland, respect for national and universal values, and encourages goodness and kindness.

The event also featured art performances and gave a festive mood.

At the end of the event, IRC staff presented gifts to the children of the Children's Villages.
