A seminar training on preparing volunteers was held among students at Urganch State University by the regional center for the fight against AIDS.

On the basis of Resolution No. 84 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 21, 2022 "On the approval of the concept of systematic promotional activities of the Republic of Uzbekistan to combat the spread of the disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection) carried out by youth activities", the regional center for the fight against AIDS, in cooperation with the Urganch State University, organized a training seminar on preparing volunteers among young people.

Students from the faculties of Pedagogy, Natural Sciences, Chemical Technologies, Physics-Mathematics and Foreign Philology of Urganch State University took part in the seminar.

The educational seminar was opened by Sh.Nurullayeva, the chairman of the Women's Advisory Council of UrSU, with an introductory speech.

After that, the specialists of the regional center for the fight against AIDS provided information about the concept of HIV and AIDS infection, the ways of transmission of the disease and the cases of high risk of HIV infection. Based on the presentations, they explained the epidemiological situation of these diseases in the world, the republic and the region, as well as disease prevention.

Answers were given to the questions asked by the meeting participants regarding the lectures given in the seminar training.

A presentation was made on the topics of the agenda, and at the end of the seminar, the text of the lecture and booklets were distributed to the volunteers for their promotion work.

The training seminar will continue throughout our university.
