An encyclopedic dictionary of toponyms is created in Khorezm

Today, the Republican working group met with Khorezm scientists at Urganch State University.

It was attended by the head of the working group U. Mahmudov, adviser to the governor of Khorezm region R. Khudoyberganov, the first vice-rector of UrSU S. Davletov, as well as philologists, historians, geographers, ethnographers, source historians, archaeologists. Taking into account the fact that until this time there was no source in Khorezm that covered all the aspects of each name in a unified, generalized form, the working group turned to local scientists, working together with scientists of all fields, and made proposals for the creation of an encyclopedic dictionary of toponyms of Khorezm.

After that, the proposals of the gathered scientists were heard and it was agreed to create a working group and develop measures to work in this field.
