International cooperation in teaching English

On September 14, 2023, representatives of the US Embassy in Uzbekistan, David Kiersk, Muhlisa Rasulova and Hamid Inomkhodjayev, visited Urganch State University.

First, the guests had a meeting with the dean of the Faculty of Socio-Economic Sciences I.Abdullayev and the teacher of the Faculty of Foreign Philology F.Masharipova. At the moment, Professor Razzaghi Mehdi, who was visiting from Bloomsburg University as part of the Fulbright program of the USA, who is currently teaching at the "Economics" department, got acquainted with the work of the professor.

After that, they visited the Faculty of Foreign Philology to get acquainted with the Romano-Germanic Philology Department. Now specialist Rachel Baird-Alahmad will conduct classes at this department for 10 months as part of the "English Language Fellow" program. Rachael Baird teaches students Listening Comprehension, Oral Communication, Reading and Writing Practice, Language Teaching Methodology and Educational Technology.

The guests also got to know the conditions created at the university. They observed the students' lessons. In particular, the newly constructed educational building attracted the attention of our guests.
