Urgench State University is reaching agreements with Italian HEIs

On September 23-27 of this year, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation organized the First Uzbek-Italian Educational Forum aimed at further strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Italy in the field of higher education. The first day of the forum is organized at Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent.

Among the leaders of more than 40 higher education institutions of Uzbekistan, Rector of Urgench State University, prof. Bakhrom Abdullayev is participating together with Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Sardor Khodjaniyozov.

The leaders of our university held talks with Maria Cecilia Mancini, vice-president of Parma University of Italy, and signed a memorandum of cooperation within the framework of this forum.

Also, within the framework of this forum, the leaders of our university managed to establish cooperation with two other Italian higher education institutions.  In particular, negotiations were held with the vice-rector of the Italian University of Cagliari, Alexandra Carucci, and the rector of the University of Salento, Polis Fabio, and mutually beneficial cooperation memoranda were signed for the universities.

Now, with these universities, it is possible to establish professor-teacher and student exchanges, to jointly implement academic publications, to jointly develop scientific research projects, to jointly create and develop innovative educational activities, as well as to organize conferences and seminars in cooperation and a number of cooperation works will be carried out.
