The delegation of the Republic of Bulgaria visited Urgench State University


On October 16, under the leadership of Georgi Valchev - Rector of Bulgaria's Sofia University,  a delegation consisting of Hristo Bozov - rector of Burgas University, and heads of departments, visited Urgench State University.  

The guests were warmly welcomed by the university's management.  During the visit, an official meeting was held with the rector of Urgench State University Bakhrom Abdullayev and the university's management.  First, Rector B.Abdullayev introduced the guests to the activities of the university, organization of teaching processes and international cooperation relations. A video about the university was shown.

After that, the members of the delegation presented information about Bulgaria's Sofia University and Burgas University. It should be said that Burgas University is a prestigious higher education institution specializing in chemical technologies. Sofia University is the first and largest higher education institution in Bulgaria. 

The leaders of these universities made proposals for cooperation with Urgench State University in the fields of artificial intelligence, green economy, natural sciences and chemistry through Erasmus+ programs, student exchange and cooperation in scientific fields. In turn, the UrSU leaders supported these proposals and agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation.

After the official meeting of the delegation of Burgas University Rector - Hristo Bozov and Heads of Departments with the management of Urgench State University, the guests got a closer look at the conditions created for students at the University. In particular, Rector B.Abdullayev introduced the guests to the conditions in educational buildings, laboratories, sports complexes, library and student residences. They watched the lesson processes and had a conversation with the students.
