The 6th scientific and practical conference on the topic "Current issues of the development and promotion of the Uzbek language" was held

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the granting of the state language status to the Uzbek language and the "Day of the Uzbek language holiday" at the Palace of Culture, UrSU, on the initiative of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, VI scientific-practical conference on the topic "Current issues of the development and promotion of the Uzbek language"  was held.

Rector of Urgench State University B.Abdullayev opened the conference with an introduction and said that granting the status of the state language to the Uzbek language was a great historical event for our nation and sincerely congratulated everyone on today's holiday. 

The scientific-practical conference was moderated by the dean of the Faculty of Philology and Art, D. Gayipov.  A journalist who served in Uzbekistan, a member of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan - Kamal Matyokubov and a professor of Sakarya University of Turkey -  Dr. Kemal Yavuz Ataman were guests and spoke about the importance of today's holiday in the life of our people. Also, a group of scientists from the "Uzbek Linguistics" department gave their lectures at the conference. 

Those who spoke at the conference talked about the reforms that are being made to protect the value of our language, the uniqueness of our mother tongue, to increase the prestige and status of the state language, and that every child of this country should love the mother tongue and take an active part in restoring its value.
