The minister is in UrSU


Today, on January 25, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Kungirotboy Sharipov, visited the Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni and got acquainted with the current state and development prospects of the educational institution. During the visit, he went to the construction site of the newly established Information Resource Centre. This library is a modern educational facility designed to create a comfortable and inspiring environment for students.

While getting acquainted with the project of the library, the minister paid special attention to the quality of the works being carried out there. Having talked with the builders, he emphasised that this important object should be commissioned soon. He gave his recommendations regarding the equipment of the building.

Speaking about the future tasks of the library, the innovative technologies created in it, and the services provided to students, the minister said: "Libraries, which are a source of knowledge and thinking, are an integral part of the modern education system. This facility should become a place of knowledge that inspires our youth to achieve great goals." 

During this visit, not only current affairs but also the general directions of development of the university were discussed. Such visits are considered one of the important steps towards increasing efficiency and creating new opportunities in the educational system. 

For information, this Information Resource Centre building is planned to consist mainly of 2 blocks, including a 5-story library building with 500 seats and an activist hall with 506 seats. The university museum is also planned to be located in this building.
