International Cooperation

Today, April 10, Korean guests from higher education establishments of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, as well as a group of specialists from various higher education establishments  of our country, visited Urgench State University to participate in the international conference on "Korean Studies, Education and Innovations".

A meeting of the university staff was held with the guests, including the acting rector of the university S.Khodjaniyozov, vice-rector for international cooperation G.Urazbayev, and associate professor of the Faculty of Foreign Philology J.Ermetova.

During the meeting, the guests were informed about the current activities of Urgench State University, international cooperation, the teaching of the Korean language at the university, and the "Korean Studies and Language Education" grant implemented at the university based on the project of the Academy of Korean Studies of South Korea. In turn, the guests also provided information about their universities, and in the end, the issue of establishing cooperation in teaching the Korean language was discussed.

After the meeting, the guests were introduced to the Center for Korean Studies established at the Faculty of Foreign Philology. The center conducts scientific research on Korean studies, implements projects in the field of language teaching methodologies and cultural exchanges. The existence of this center will serve to apply advanced methods in teaching the Korean language, as well as further strengthen international cooperation.
