UrSU team is the winner of the “Universiade” in football!

Today, on April 14, 2025, the final match of the “Universiade” football competition, which is being held at the “Yoshlik” sports complex in Urgench, ended with great excitement and uncompromising struggle.

In the final match, the team of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, participating as the Khorezm regional team, played against the Tashkent regional team. Under the leadership of UrSU acting rector S.Khodjaniyazov, all members of the management supported our students and observed the game.

Our students played at a high level, achieved a convincing victory over their opponents with a score of 3:0 and became the absolute winner of the competition and the owner of the Gold Medal!

According to the results of the competition:
1st place – the team of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni (Khorezm region);
2nd place – the team of Tashkent region;
3rd place – the team of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

This victory has become an important page in the sports history of not only our university, but also the entire Khorezm region. This is a vivid expression of the high qualities of our youth, such as dedication, team spirit, will and hard work.
