The winners of the “Universiade” were solemnly awarded!

Today, on April 14, a solemn award ceremony was held after the final matches of the “Universiade” football tournament held at the “Yoshlik” sports complex in Urgench. 

At the ceremony, Deputy Governor of Khorezm region S.Salayev and other officials spoke and sincerely congratulated the participants of the tournament, especially the teams that achieved high results in the final stage. They especially emphasized the invaluable role of such competitions in the development of young people into physically and spiritually mature individuals.

Then, the winning team — the players of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni, as well as the second and third place holders — representatives of the teams of Tashkent region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan — were solemnly awarded medals and honorary diplomas, as well as valuable souvenirs.

The award ceremony was held in a high spirit and left an unforgettable impression on all participants. Such large-scale sports events serve as an important factor in guiding the younger generation towards a healthy lifestyle, revealing their talents and capabilities.
