The 9th meeting of the Council of Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni was held


Today, on May 5, the next meeting of the University Council was held at the Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni. The Council was chaired by the acting rector of the university, S.Khodjaniyazov, and with the participation of members of the Council.

Information and reports of officials on the following issues from the 9th meeting of the Council were heard:

On the results of the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Khorezm region;
On the results of the 1st half of the 2024-2025 academic year;
On the results of monitoring the activities of doctoral students and independent researchers and the effectiveness of dissertation defenses;
On the activities of the Khorezm Innovative Technopark under the university.

At the 9th meeting of the Council, the university's professors and teachers with the academic titles of Professor and Associate Professor of the SAC, as well as professors and teachers with the degrees of DSc (Doctor of Science) and PhD (Doctor of Philosophy), were awarded their diplomas.

Students and their teachers who actively participated in the international online Olympiad held in Kazakhstan in April 2025, and took the honorable 1st and 2nd places were awarded diplomas and certificates.

Professor-teachers of the Department of Arts was awarded a letter of gratitude from the university leadership for their active participation and worthy contribution to the wide promotion of our national art in the international arena and the strengthening of friendship and cooperation between peoples, for the successful organization of the cultural program "Uzbekistan: Priceless Cultural Heritage" organized at the Limpopo State University in South Africa, in March 2025.

Various issues and elections were also on the Council's agenda.
