10th Meeting of the Academic Council Held at Urgench State University Named After Abu Rayhon Biruni

Today, on June 10, the 10th meeting of the Academic Council was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni. The meeting was chaired by the Acting Rector of the university, S.Khodjaniyazov, and attended by members of the Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, as per tradition, the Chair of the Council acknowledged the recent achievements of the university staff. In particular, Bozorboy Bobojanov, Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, was presented with the diploma of Professor from the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC), and best wishes for continued academic success were extended to him.

Following this, reports and presentations were delivered by responsible officials on the issues listed on the agenda of the Council meeting:

The official foreign visits of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, carried out in May of this year;

Implementation of joint educational and academic mobility programs in cooperation with foreign higher education institutions;

The progress of the educational process and collaboration efforts at the specialized school for physics, mathematics, and computer science affiliated with the university.

In addition, various other matters and elections were also included in the Council’s agenda.
