Graduate – 2025: Diploma Award Ceremony Held for Urgench State University Graduates

Today, July 16, a solemn diploma award ceremony was held for master's and bachelor's graduates who successfully completed their studies at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni. The event was attended by the university administration, honorary professors and teachers, graduating students, and their parents. This day was filled with pride and emotion not only for the graduates, but also for their mentors and devoted families who supported them on their academic journey.

The official ceremony began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Acting Rector of UrSU, S.Khodjaniyazov, opened the event with a congratulatory speech, congratulating the graduates on their successful completion. He highlighted the wide-scale reforms taking place in the country’s education system and emphasized that the university’s current achievements are a clear reflection of those efforts.

A. Akramov, Head of the Center for Increasing Social Activity of Students and Pupils under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, also participated and delivered a congratulatory address. In addition, esteemed professors X.Bobojonov and S.Masharipova delivered heartfelt congratulations to the graduates. Following these speeches, the main part of the diploma award ceremony began.

It is worth noting that in the 2024/2025 academic year, a total of 6,677 students successfully graduated from Urgench State University. Among them, 222 obtained a master’s degree and 6,455 completed their bachelor’s degrees. Of the bachelor’s graduates, 83 received preferential diplomas.
