An Official Meeting Was Held at Urgench State University with a Delegation from a Prestigious Malaysian University

Today, on August 2, a delegation of professors from one of Malaysia’s prestigious higher education institutions — the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment of the University of Islamic Sciences Malaysia — led by Dean Professor Nurul Syala, visited Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni.

During the visit, an official meeting was organized with the acting rector of the university, Sardor Khodjaniyozov, and professors of the Faculty of Engineering, particularly from the Department of Architecture and Construction. The meeting focused on prospects for bilateral cooperation, scientific exchange, joint research, and launching academic exchange programs for students.

During the discussion, it was emphasized that Urgench State University has established strong ties with Malaysian higher education institutions. Special mention was made of the university leadership's active participation in the First Uzbekistan–Malaysia Education Forum held in Kuala Lumpur in February 2025. The initiatives being implemented based on the agreements reached during the forum were also positively evaluated.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to cooperate in scientific research, professional development programs, experience sharing in sustainable architecture and eco-friendly construction technologies, and to implement joint projects.
