Seminar-trainings on sustainable transport and smart neighborhoods have begun at UrSU within the Uzbekistan-Germany joint project


Today, at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, three-day seminar-trainings started within the framework of the “2-RISMUz” Uzbekistan-Germany joint project on integrated sustainable mobility research in Uzbekistan, the creation of smart sustainable neighborhoods in Central Asia, and future projects. These seminars focus on developing sustainable transport systems, ensuring transport safety, and addressing logistics issues.

The event is attended by the project leader, Professor Dr.-Ing. Wulf-Holger Arndt from the Technical University of Berlin, along with a group of German experts, as well as UrSU’s Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations Z. Ibragimov, university transport researchers, students, representatives of the “Nurli Hayot” neighborhood, regional transport department, traffic police, and other relevant organizations.

Today, interim research results of RESMiCA researchers were presented. In particular, Nilay Behlav gave a presentation on “Public Transport Solutions,” Nik Bennevitz and Nodirbek Shavkatov on “Parking Management,” and Sofi Bernard and Shohrux Inomjonov on “Active Modes of Mobility.” After the presentations, stakeholders exchanged feedback and views.
