On 5 November 2025, the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni held its next scientific-theoretical seminar.
Faculty professors, lecturers, doctoral students, and master’s students took part in the seminar.
At the seminar, presentations were delivered by the senior lecturer of the department, Zulaykho Kholmatovna Khojaeva, on the topic “Linguocultural Features of Proverbs Containing Somatism Components in the Uzbek and French Languages”, and by the 2nd-year master’s student Shoxsanam Sobirova on the topic “A Comparative Study of Speech Etiquette Units (on the example of the Uzbek and German languages)”.
It was noted that both presentation topics are of practical significance for the in-depth analysis of issues related to linguoculture, national worldview, and intercultural communication. The presenters were advised to further expand their research and publish their findings in the form of a scientific article.
