A Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between Urgench State University and Istanbul Commerce University

Scientific, cultural, and social relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Turkey are strengthening year by year, reaching new stages of mutual cooperation. Today, joint programs, academic exchanges, and large-scale scientific projects between educational institutions of the two countries have become a practical manifestation of this friendship.

Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhon Biruni is also an active participant in this process and has established scientific cooperation with more than 30 prestigious universities in Turkey. As a result, the qualifications of professors and teachers are improving, students are gaining international experience, and innovative projects based on joint research are being developed.

On November 18, a delegation headed by the Rector of Istanbul Commerce University, Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek, accompanied by Dildora Solikhojayeva, a specialist of the Department of Youth Policy and Spiritual-Educational Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, visited UrSU. As part of the visit, the guests met with the university administration. During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Zafar Ibragimov held negotiations with Prof. Dr. Necip Şimşek, during which the opportunities, directions, and future plans for cooperation between the universities were thoroughly discussed.

As a result of the negotiations, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Urgench State University and Istanbul Commerce University. The memorandum covers a number of areas, including the exchange of professors, students, and practitioners; the exchange of educational-methodological materials and scientific information; the implementation of joint scientific research and innovative projects; joint participation in seminars, training sessions, and academic conferences; and the organization of short-term educational programs.
