International Cooperation

From November 26 to December 1, Dr. Michael Zierdt, Head of the Geoecology Department Laboratory at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Germany), is visiting Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni.

The main purpose of the visit is to further expand the capabilities of DiSA-Lab (Digital Soil & Agrochemical Laboratory), develop modern technical programs, and strengthen scientific cooperation between MLU and UrSU.

On November 28, a meeting was held with Acting Rector S. Khodjaniyazov, during which productive discussions took place regarding the further development of university laboratories, joint projects, and prospective scientific directions. The team of the Agronomy Department expressed confidence that the outcomes of this collaboration will contribute to achieving new successes in the agricultural sector of our country in the future.

Such visits are important not only for enhancing scientific potential but also for applying international experience to local practices.
