On February 6, a regular scientific and methodological seminar was held in room 448 of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology at the Faculty of Foreign Philology of Abu Rayhon Beruni Urgench State University.

During the seminar, a report entitled “Developing Language Skills through Watching Videos in Foreign Language Classes” was presented by Gulshoda Madrimovna Atasheva, a trainee teacher of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology.

The report highlighted the importance of using authentic video materials in foreign language teaching, particularly their role in developing listening comprehension, speaking skills, and vocabulary acquisition. It was emphasized that video materials increase students’ interest in lessons, introduce them to a real speech environment, and help them acquire the language in a natural context.

At the end of the seminar, the faculty members and master’s degree students shared their opinions and reflections on the topic. The scientific and methodological seminar was marked by lively discussions and active debates.
