An International Scientific and Practical Conference Titled “Science and Women: Toward a Sustainable Society” Held

On February 11 of this year, in observance of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a scientific and practical conference titled “Science and Women: Toward a Sustainable Society” was held at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni.

Within the framework of the conference, an exhibition was organized showcasing innovative projects, startup initiatives, and national handicraft products created by women actively engaged in science. Through the exhibition, guests became acquainted with research outcomes, modern ideas, and developments reflecting the harmony between national values and innovation.

The event was opened by the university’s Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Z.Ibragimov, who emphasized the role of women in the development of science and their significant contribution to ensuring social stability.
Representatives of the Association of Women Scholars, the Department for Family and Women, professors and teachers, creative women, and students actively participated in the conference. The speakers highlighted the state policy aimed at supporting women’s scientific activities in the country, as well as the favorable conditions being created in higher education institutions.

During the event, it was noted that the scientific achievements and social engagement of women scholars serve as an inspiring example for young people, and it was once again emphasized that the harmony between science and women is a powerful driving force toward a sustainable society.
