On April 3, a regular scientific and methodological seminar was held in room 448 at the Department of Romance-Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni.
At the seminar, a presentation by Rashida Samandar qizi Gulimmatova, a lecturer of the Department of Romance-Germanic Philology, was delivered on the topic: “The Use of Authentic Materials in Teaching German as a Foreign Language.”
The presentation provided detailed information about the importance of authentic materials (newspapers, journals, videos, audio, and other real-life sources) in the process of language learning. In particular, it was emphasized that such materials help develop students’ listening, reading, and communication skills, as well as create opportunities to learn the language in a natural environment.
At the end of the seminar, the faculty members shared their opinions and feedback on the topic. The scientific and methodological seminar was held in a lively and discussion-rich atmosphere.
