An International Scientific Conference on “Modern Models of Tourism and Education Integration” Was Held

Today, Urgench State University hosted an international scientific conference entitled “Modern Models of Tourism and Education Integration,” organized by the Department of Tourism. This prestigious conference was dedicated to strengthening cooperation between the tourism industry and the education system, promoting best practices, and developing scientific solutions to the pressing challenges facing the sector.

The opening ceremony was attended by A. Atamurotov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, who congratulated the participants and emphasized the importance of the conference in fostering integration among science, education, and tourism. The international conference was moderated by I. Abdullayev, Dean of the Faculty of Socio-Economic Sciences.

The conference brought together scholars and experts from China, Türkiye, and Russia, as well as faculty members of the university’s Department of Tourism. Participants delivered presentations on the economic mechanisms of sustainable tourism development in the region, current trends in the integration of tourism and education, digital transformation processes, prospects for ecotourism, and the implementation of international best practices in the tourism sector.
