The 10th meeting of the academic council of Urgench State University was held. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the university, Feruza Madrahimova, and attended by members of the Council.

The meeting began with positive news. First, diplomas for academic degrees and titles were awarded to professors and lecturers who have made a significant contribution to strengthening the university’s scientific potential. The Rector sincerely congratulated all diploma recipients.

Reports and presentations from responsible officials were heard on the issues included in the agenda. In particular, information was provided on important matters related to the political and socio-economic life of our country, as well as on the ongoing efforts to include the university among the TOP-1000 universities in global rankings.

Information was also presented regarding the determination of tuition fees for international students for the 2026/2027 academic year, the launch of the educational process at the specialized physics, mathematics, and informatics school under UrSU, as well as issues related to ensuring graduate employment in cooperation with the university and organizing practical training. In addition, relevant information was provided on equipping the university library with new-generation textbooks, manuals, and other electronic resources.

For each item on the agenda, the chair of the Council, Feruza Madrahimova, assigned specific tasks to the responsible officials and issued important instructions to strengthen executive discipline.

Furthermore, the regulations on “spin-off” enterprises, as well as the Regulations on research and service centers being established under certain departments, were reviewed and approved. The meeting also discussed the development of the university’s Technopark, aimed at further enhancing its innovative potential, and identified priority tasks in this regard.

At the end of the meeting, various issues were discussed, and elections were held for positions and for academic titles awarded by the higher attestation commission.
