"Teachers and Mentors Day" was widely celebrated at Urgench State University
A solemn festive event was held at Urgench State University on the occasion of “October 1 — Teachers and Mentors Day” as an expression of high respect and deep gratitude to teachers and mentors.
The event was opened by the Rector of the University, Feruza Madraximova. In her congratulatory speech, the Rector particularly emphasized the invaluable role of teachers and mentors in further enhancing the University’s scientific and educational potential, providing the younger generation with profound knowledge and proper upbringing, and sincerely congratulated the University community on their professional holiday.
The festive event was attended by Deputy governor of the Khorezm region Sherzod Berdiyev and Deputy prosecutor of the Khorezm region Xudayberdi Norqobilov, who congratulated the professors, teachers, and mentors on the occasion and expressed their best wishes.
During the event, a group of professors and teachers who have been making a worthy contribution to the development of education and science were duly honored. They were ceremonially presented with the “Excellence in Higher Education” badge, Certificates of Honor from the Governor of the Khorezm region, a Certificate of Honor from the Prosecutor of the Khorezm region, Certificates of Honor from the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov, Honorary Professor diplomas of Urgench State University, as well as Certificates of Honor from the Rector.
During the artistic part of the celebration, songs and musical performances were presented by People’s Hafiz of Uzbekistan, Professor Ochilbek Matchanov, recipient of the “Shuhrat” Medal Xurshida Eshniyazova, recipient of the “Shuhrat” Medal Ulugbek Bobojonov, singer Hilola Bobojonova, as well as the professors and teachers of the University’s Department of Arts, creating a festive atmosphere for those gathered.
One of the most exciting and memorable moments of the event was the first-ever performance of the University anthem. The anthem was performed by the University’s “JAYHUN” orchestra together with professors and teachers, adding a special spirit and uplifting atmosphere to the celebration.
Following the ceremonial event, a festive table was laid for teachers and mentors. Sincere conversations, songs, music, and dances further enhanced the festive spirit and brought an uplifting mood to the participants.
