Today, on September 22, the next edition of the "Poetry Podium" competition, which is traditionally held at the Faculty of Uzbek Philology of UrSU, was held for the new academic year. It was attended by the management of the university, professors and teachers and students of the Faculty of Uzbek Philology.

First vice-rector of the university D.Ibadulleyav and dean of the faculty D.Gayipov made a speech and emphasized that such contests not only help young people to spend their free time meaningfully, but also sharpen their knowledge and thinking, and wished good luck to all participants.

The contest was held on the basis of the works of the famous representative of Uzbek literature and poetry, Erkin Vahidov, and the Russian poet Sergey Yesenin, and 11 students of the faculty competed against each other on the basis of 2 conditions.
 
Competition participants' debates, Philology and language teaching: Uzbek language education direction, presentation prepared by the students of group 209, a video showing the life and work of Erkin Vahidov, songs and beautiful the dances left a great impression on the audience.

Each condition was duly assessed by the jury, the winners of the competition were awarded with diplomas and souvenirs and went to the final stage, which will be held in December of this year.

1st place: Samandarova Kamola, a student of Euro group 231
2nd place: Rahimova Dilrabo, a student of the 211th Uzbek language group
3rd place: Komila Komiljonova, a student of the 201st Uzbek language group
