This academic year was very effective for the Department of Roman - German Philology. In September and October 2018, two German teachers, Wilhelm Rottmann and Helga Lefelmann, taught German and French through the SES in Germany.

In addition, the German Embassy in Tashkent and the Goethe Institute hosted seminars and lectures by German language teacher Simon Krechmer, Grazhinya Vetulani and poets Ilya Troyanov.

This year 4 lecturers of the department received scholarships from such organizations as DAAD and Goethe Institute of Germany.

Dzhumaniyozova Dilnoza received a DAAD scholarship and returned her scholarship to Mannheim, Germany, for a three-month period from October to January.

Senior lecturers Sapaeva Raihon, Matkarimov Arslon and Yusupova Chamangul Goethe Institute receive scholarships in July and August in Berlin, Hamburg and Dresden.

2nd year student Bobojonova Nargiza, 3rd year student Rakhimov Nodir and Maratova Kumush will host DAAD students and attend summer language courses in Germany in August.
