Shavkat Kozievich Ismailov was born on January 16, 1968, in the village of Beshta, Khazorasp district, Khorezm region. In 1985, he graduated with honors from Mirzo Ulugbek School No. 45 in the district. That same year, he entered the Physics Department of Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan), graduating with honors in 1990. Subsequently, upon recommendation, he was accepted as a research intern at the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Since 1992, he has worked as an assistant in the Physics Department of Urgench State University. From 1998 to 2001, he completed his postgraduate studies at the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. On January 31, 2007, he successfully defended his dissertation in physics and mathematics on the topic "Growth and Study of Electronic and Optical Properties of Solid Solutions" at the specialized council of the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek Academy of Sciences. He currently works as an associate professor in the Physics Department of Urgench State University.
From 2016 to 2024, he served as the head of the Telecommunications Engineering Department at the Urgench branch of TATU. He currently works as an associate professor in this department.
During his career, he has participated in international and national scientific and practical grants.
In particular:
1. From 2009 to 2011, he participated as an engineer in the grant project of the International Fund UZB/SGP /OP4/Y2/RAF/2009/16 on the topic "Biogas Plant for Subsonic Farming," funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP);
2. From 2012 to 2014, he participated in the TWAS International Foundation grant project "Modeling the Effect of Local Nanoscale Potential on Lateral Capacitance at the Si-SiO2 Interface" — 174 RG/PHYS/AS G; FR 3240262672;
In May 2008, he completed advanced training courses at the A.S. Pushkin Leningrad State University, Russia.
He is actively involved in the ERASMUS-EDU-2022 -101083224 - INMACOM project, part of the European Union's ERASMUS+ program. From 22 to 26 May 2023, he participated in the next meeting of the INMACOM project consortium at Ghent University (UGent) and the Free University of Brussels (VUB), Belgium, and also completed an internship at the Universities of Ghent and Brussels (Belgium) and the Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy).
