On the occasion of June 26 - International Day Against Drug Abuse, Urgench State University hosted an event entitled "We are against drugs"

This Spiritual-Educational event, held on June 16, 2021, was opened by the Vice-Rector for Youth and Spiritual-Educational Affairs of UrSU S.Davletov.

The head of the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant Colonel A.S.Matlyubov, the responsible officer of the department U.R.Raupov, head of the regional narcology department D.B.Eshchanov, an employee of the regional Department of Internal Affairs M.U.Sherzhanov attended the event. The students were informed about the negative consequences of drug addiction, the fight against and prevention of drug trafficking among young people, psychotropic and potent substances, the myriad harms of drug addiction.

During the event, a film about the serious consequences of drug addiction was shown. 

At the end of the meeting, a concert program performed by a group of Khorezm pop singers was held.
