In order to implement advanced foreign experience in the introduction of modern educational technologies in the higher education system, to train personnel for physical culture and sports, and in order to promote the development of an open information education system on November 6, 2021 at Urgench State University members of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Professors Platonov Vladimir Nikolayevich and Bulatova Maria Mikhailovna, who have done a lot of research in sports and made a significant contribution to the world Olympic movement were invited to the educational institution.

At the beginning of the visit, a meeting was held at the Culture Hall with the participation of the leadership of UrSU, professors and students of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports Club, as well as coaches of Khorezm Regional High School of Sports, Children and Youth Sports Schools and Sports Federations.

The meeting was opened by G.Urazbaev, Vice-Rector for International Relations of UrSU, who thanked the guests for the visit on behalf of the university administration.

After that, foreign experts presented their reports to the participants. The contents of the lectures covered the history and heritage of the Olympic Games, the form and problems of the Olympic system, preparation for the Olympics, as well as the role of the modern system in the long-term training of highly qualified athletes. In addition, opinions were expressed on a number of important issues that need to be addressed in order to ensure the participation of athletes in the largest sports conference of the last four years.

Only when theory and practice work together can sports develop. The guests also focused on this aspect in today's meeting. According to them, the training process should be constantly analyzed, and each task should be monitored. The visit of foreign experts aims to show us new ideas and directions and to study them.

At the end of the meeting, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences Platonov Vladimir Nikolayevich and Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician, President of the Ukrainian Olympic Academy Bulatova Maria Mikhailovna were awarded the diploma of Honorary Professor of Urgench State University.

Meanwhile, the guests headed to the ancient city of Khiva.
