Urgench State University hosted a meeting of the Khorezm Regional Council for Anti-Corruption

The Khorezm Regional Council for Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting on June 24, 2022 at Urgench State University on the prevention of corruption risks.

The meeting was attended by university administration, faculty, staff and students.

The propaganda meeting was moderated by the Secretary of the Regional Anti-Corruption Council A.B. Radjabov.

The participants of the meeting made the following reports:

B.H. Polvanov , Chairman of Khorezm regional court on "Corruption in the industry";

I.B. Nazarov, Deputy Head of the Department of Justice of the region on "Measures aimed at eliminating the signs of corruption in the normative and legal acts adopted by the judiciary in this area";

N.B. Rozibaev the head of the Khorezm regional prosecutor's office on "Corruption detected in the system by the prosecutor's office";

M.A. Achilov, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs "On appeals to law enforcement agencies on corruption cases and the work being done to eliminate them".

They also spoke about the consistent measures taken today to prevent, combat and curb corruption in our country. The law provides for criminal liability for bribe giver or bribe receiver, and mediation in bribery; the perpetrators of the crime could be sentenced to a term of imprisonment depending on the nature of the crime and other information about corruption were also explained in the meeting. It is important to be vigilant to prevent this.
