The memory book "Aqdarband" was published.

On January 9, 1938, according to the directive of the NKVD on "Iranskoy operation", 13,297 people were brought to court, 2,046 of them were sentenced to death. It is emphasized that some foreign intelligence agencies are using the regions of Iran, which had a strong influence in historical times, as well as groups of remigrants settled in the republics of Central Asia and the Caucasus, in conducting work against the USSR.
Iranians living in Akdarband village of Khorezm district have become representatives of the local population over the past century. But by the end of the 1930s, the accountability mechanism of the collective Soviet regime was questioned. The repressive machine of the permanent Soviet system also caused suffering to white people.
The villagers were accused of speaking their national language, Persian, and advocating migration to Iran. Houses were searched, books, letters, and documents in Persian and Arabic alphabets were seized and set on fire.
In 1938, 22 people from the village were imprisoned for a short time. On September 21-22, 1938, all the defendants were sentenced to 10 years in prison camps without any evidence under Article 57-10 of the Criminal Code of the UzSSR by the infamous "Trinity" court, established at the Supreme Court of the USSR. The employees of the Khorezm regional department of the IIC of the UZSSR will determine additional investigations against 72 people within the framework of this case. The frightened villagers sent letters to higher organizations and managed to draw the center's attention to the matter. When a re-investigation is conducted with the participation of inspectors called from the center, it becomes clear that the investigation was conducted illegally. As a result, the case will be stopped and 61 of the 72 people who were imprisoned will be released.

It will be known that 8 people were killed during this short period of investigation. At the request of the villagers, the cases of the 22 people mentioned above will be reconsidered from July 24, 1939. On June 14, 1940, the decision of the "triple" court issued on September 21-22, 1938 by the Department of the Khorezm Oblast IICK was declared illegal. By this time, it will be known that 11 of the 22 people who were unjustly sentenced to death died of suffering and illness.
By the time of independence, the issue of restoration of historical justice was defined as the priority direction of the socio-political and cultural policy of our country, and great work was done in this regard. The victims of the repressions of the 1930s and 1980s were acquitted, and the work of perpetuating their memory was continued without interruption. The decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Mirziyoyev No. 5598 of October 8, 2020 "On additional measures to study the legacy of repression victims and perpetuate their memory" became the basis for the creation of this book.
In today's world, when global threats are increasing and the realization of national identity and the recovery of our true history are becoming more important than ever, state and public figures, representatives of science, culture and art, literature, ordinary professions who were brutally repressed by the authoritarian Soviet regime It remains an urgent task to perpetuate the names and memories of thousands of our compatriots who are owners, to educate our young generation in the spirit of love and loyalty to our Motherland and people, as an example of their courage and perseverance.
Unbiased and truthful study of historical data in this regard will serve to better understand how the independence of our country was won through difficult and difficult struggles, and we should live our free, free and prosperous life with care and appreciation.
