Recreational Camps — New Opportunities for Creating Convenience for Students


Following the video conference held on April 11, 2023, by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on "Enhancing the effectiveness of youth policy work and further improving the system of working with youth," as well as in accordance with item 10 of the statement of the Prime Minister’s meeting on “Systematic organization and health improvement of children’s recreation,” the Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, in cooperation with the Department for the Organization of Children’s Recreation and Health Improvement, currently involves university students in paid practical work at 5 recreational camps in the Khorezm region.

As noted, currently at the “Al-Khwarizmi” camp in Yangibozor district, the “Urganch” camp in Urgench district, the “Jayhun Quyoshi” camp in Khonka district, the “Khiva Gulshani” camp in Khiva district, and the “Humo” camp in Qo'shko'pir district, a total of 34 students work as educators, leaders, sports coaches, music directors, and kitchen staff.

On June 3 of this year, the opening ceremony of the “Al-Khwarizmi” camp in Yangibozor district was held. The event featured participation from Q.Yo'ldoshev, head of the Student Internship Department at UrSU, university students, and the “Jayhun” orchestra group. In particular, at the event, Q.Yo'ldoshev expressed his views on the importance of such places for young people, emphasizing that the camp creates broad opportunities for students to spend their free time meaningfully. The live performance of the “Jayhun” orchestra and the students’ performances added color to the event and were warmly received by the participants.
