Women’s Entrepreneurship Analysis Laboratory – New Initiative, New Opportunities

At Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, one of the important initiatives for developing and supporting women’s entrepreneurship—the “Women’s Entrepreneurship Analysis Laboratory”—has started operating in test mode. This new platform serves to deeply study women’s entrepreneurial activities, analyze existing problems, and develop practical solutions by attracting international financial resources.

Today, Umida Abdullayeva, First Deputy Chairperson of the Family and Women’s Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the university and got closely acquainted with the laboratory’s activities. A roundtable discussion was organized with the participation of the university’s First Prorector D.Ibadullayev, Chairperson of the Women’s Advisory Council N.Atajonova, faculty deans, researchers, and independent experts.

G.Ruzmetova, Advisor to the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences, provided detailed information about the laboratory’s tasks, highlighting three main directions:

identifying and attracting international grant lines,
creating a gender equality index – Khorezm model,
directing financial resources toward women entrepreneurs’ activities.

During the discussions, proposals were made to more actively involve women in economic and scientific processes, support their initiatives, and expand innovative projects in the region. U.Abdullayeva emphasized the need to establish a regular monitoring system to develop the laboratory’s concept and ensure its effectiveness, giving appropriate instructions.

Additionally, during her visit, U.Abdullayeva also visited the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and got acquainted with the scientific research work of women scientists. This initiative marks a new stage in enhancing women’s activity in society and their broad involvement in economic and scientific processes.
