SIRCON 2025: One Belt – One Road: Sustainable Green Economy, Regional Development, Education, and Cultural Heritage


Today, at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, the international conference “One Belt – One Road: Sustainable Green Economy, Regional Development, Education, and Cultural Heritage” is taking place.

The opening ceremony of the conference is being moderated by Ilyos Abdullayev, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at UrSU. The event was officially opened with an introductory speech by Dilshod Ibadullaev, the university’s First Vice-Rector.

At the solemn opening ceremony, Bakhram Abdullaev, Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, and Healthcare of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, spoke, emphasizing that in recent years SIRCON conferences have become an important academic platform fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in social sciences, psychology, education, and social development. He also expressed confidence that this event will make a significant contribution to the new spiritual revival of the Great Silk Road through the scientific ideas, practical proposals, and inspiring thoughts of scientists worldwide.

At the opening ceremony of the international congress dedicated to the Great Silk Road, congratulatory speeches were delivered by Dr.Birol Mercan, Professor and President of the Organizing Committee of the Congress from Necmettin Erbakan University; Professor Azizbek Ismoilov, Rector of Alfraganus University; and Professor Alpay Arıbaş, Rector of Aksaray University.

SIRCON 2025 is a global platform for research, scientific exchange, and regional cooperation, bringing together scholars and experts from various countries along the Silk Road. The conference plays an important role in discussing economic, social, cultural, and historical issues, as well as in shaping policies and strategies.

Such broad participation promotes the exchange of scientific ideas, regional and international cooperation, and creates a foundation for new ideas and initiatives to harmonize the Silk Road heritage with modern development.
