On 12 November 2025, the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Urgench State University named after Abu Rayhan Beruni held its next scientific-theoretical seminar.
Faculty professors, lecturers, doctoral students, and master’s students took part in the seminar.
At the seminar, presentations were delivered by the senior lecturer of the department, PhD Safarboy Matkarimov, on the topic “Concerns in Translation”, and by the 2nd-year master’s student Mehri Bahodirovna Ibadullayeva on the topic “Stylistic Devices in Expressing the Emotions of Artistic Images (on the example of French and Uzbek prose)”.
Both presentations highlighted the analysis of current issues in translation studies, comparative literary studies, and contrastive linguistics. The presenters were advised to further expand their research and publish their findings in the form of a scholarly article.
